5 out of 5 stars Just what we were looking for.   June 4, 2007

We were happy to have discovered this series. My 2 boys had already learned the formation of the letters, but still needed practice in writing. This series of books fit the bill perfectly! The practice is divided into daily amounts and the children are learning other information through the writing. Instead of simply copying letters or words focused on one letter, they are putting the whole alphabet into practice while writing and therefore learning about the topic of the day. They have found this much more interesting and are actually enjoying their handwriting time now.

5 out of 5 stars Is it Contemporary or Traditional?   November 28, 2007

I'm probably the only one who cares about this, but the image for this product is showing Traditional Cursive, but the title of the product is Contemporary Cursive. When I click to search inside, it does show Contemporary Cursive, so I'm hoping that's what I get when I order this product. Contemporary Cursive begins all letters on the baseline, which is much easier for a child to learn. But it's hard to find....Anyhow, just thought I'd point out the discrepancy between the title and the graphic for anyone who wants to be sure what they are getting. I'll try and update this when I get the product...

5 out of 5 stars A GREAT CURSIVE REFRESHER   December 12, 2009

I bought Daily Handwriting Practice: Contemporary Cursive for my 19 year old granddaughter. I noticed she printed everything, including her signature. She had been printing for so long she didn't remember how to do cursive! This workbook is more advanced than some of the other workbooks, that seem more for younger grades. It didn't take long before my granddaughter learned how to do cursive again.

We really like this handwriting book! Its very concise, with each day's practice laid out in an easy-to use format for both teacher and student. The poems and writing exercises are interesting and fun!

5 out of 5 stars more than ABC's   April 22, 2010

Many handwriting programs progress slowly from A to Z with very little practice connecting the letters along the way- or at the end either. This book progresses rapidly from A to Z and spends the bulk of the book with actual practice putting the letters together using a variety of sentence structures, topics and formats (Science facts & paragraphs, poems, riddles, figures of speech, etc.) For those struggling with cursive fluency, this is an excellent resource.
